Creation and Dissolution: A Meditation on the Origins of Existence
This work seeks to capture the deepest source of existence—creation and dissolution. It is a visual exploration of the essential nature of life, expressed through the endless cosmic cycle in which stars are born, shine, and ultimately collapse upon themselves.
The dark, expansive black represents the void—the space of nothingness. Scattered across it, fragments of green, blue, and gold symbolize explosions of life and energy. Within the texture and movement of the paint, moments of upheaval and calm, destruction and renewal coexist, forming an image reminiscent of galaxies forming and unraveling.
Creation is a moment of light; dissolution is the darkness that holds it. Yet these are not opposites—they are part of one continuous flow. This work reflects on the transience of human existence within that vast cycle, and, at the same time, the possibility of something eternal within it.
The universe, as it always has, continues to gestate newness in silence. And in facing that silence, we come to understand: creation and dissolution are not separate, but one.

이 작품은 존재의 가장 깊은 근원, 즉 창조와 소멸을 담고자 했다. 우주라는 무대 위에서 펼쳐지는 끝없는 순환 ㅡ별이 탄생하고, 빛나고 결국 붕괴하는 과정 ㅡ그 안에 내재된 생명의 본질을 시각적으로 탐색했다.
어둡고 깊은 블랙은 무(無)의 공간이며, 그 위에 펼쳐진 녹색과 청색, 금빛의 파편들은 생명과 에너지의 폭발을 상징한다. 물감의 질감과 흐름 속에는 격변과 평온, 파괴와 회복의 순간이 공존하며 마치 거대한 은하계가 형성되고 해체되는 듯한 형상을 이룬다.
'창조'는빛의 순간이고 '소멸'은 그것을 품은 어둠이다. 그러나 이 둘은 끊임없이 순환하는 하나의 흐름이다. 이 작업은 그 거대한 순환 안에서 인간 존재의 순간성을, 그리고 동시에 그 안에 담긴 영원의 가능성을 사유하는 과정이다.
우주는 언제나 그랬듯 침묵 속에서 새로움을 잉태하고 있다. 그리고 그 침묵을 직면할 때, 우리는비로소 창조와 소멸이 다르지 않다는 사실을 이해하게 된다.
