Whispers Beyond the Cosmos

This work was inspired by the principles of the I Ching (Book of Changes).

Its core philosophy—the ever-cycling, ever-transforming force of change—led me to reflect on how the universe itself pulses within that same order. I envisioned the moment when scattered dust, gas, and particles drifting through interstellar space are drawn together by invisible forces, slowly condensing until a new star is born. This unseen but powerful force—universal order and intangible energy—forms the very fabric of the cosmos.

At the edges of the canvas, a distant galaxy swirls faintly into view. Like a quiet whisper echoing from a far corner of the universe, it seems to speak to us, to stir something within. That whisper reaches into the depths of our inner selves, inviting us to question the meaning of our existence and reflect on what we are made of.

We are made of stardust. We are the universe’s way of understanding itself.
This thought lies at the heart of my work. It captures a profound insight: that while we are minuscule in the vastness of the cosmos, we are also miraculous in our very being.

With each brushstroke depicting a nebula, I sought to project my inner universe onto the canvas. This is not merely a representation of a celestial cloud. It is the rhythm of primal breath, the gestation of stars, and a response to the mystery of human existence. If you pause for a moment before this painting and take a deep breath—perhaps you might hear it too: a whisper meant just for you, from beyond the cosmos.

주역(周易))의 원리에서 영감

이 작품은 주역(周易))의 원리에서 영감을 받았다. 끊임없이 순환하며 변화하는 역(易)의 힘은, 우주 또한 그 질서 안에서 꿈틀대고 있다는 생각으로 이어졌다. 성간에 흩어져있던 먼지, 가스, 티끌들이 서로를 끌어 당기며 응집하고, 마침내 새로운 별들이 탄생하는 찰나를 생각했다. 보이지 않지만 작용하는 그 힘 -보편적 질서와 무형의에너지-그 자체가 우주를 구성하고 있다.

작품의 가장자리에는 먼 곳에서 소용돌이치고 있는 은하가 희미하게 보인다. 그것은 마치 우주의 한 모퉁이에서 울려 오는 낮은 속삭임처럼 우리에게 뭔가를 이야기하려는 듯하다. 그 소리는 우리의 내면 깊숙한

곳에 다가와 존재의 의미를 묻고, 우리가 무엇으로 이루어졌는지를 되돌아보게 한다.

우리는 별의 물질로 이루어져 있다. 우리는 우주가 스스로를 이해하게 되는 방식이다.

이 문장은 나의 작업의 중심에 놓여 있다. 우리가 이 우주 안에서 얼마나 작은 존재이면서도 동시에 얼마나

경이로운 존재인지에 대한 통찰이 담겨 있으니까.

성운을 그리는 붓질 하나하나에 나는 내면의 우주를 투영하고자 했다.
